How to Use the Motion Array Collections Feature

Motion Array 11/10/2018 3 min read

One of the great things about Motion Array is that you can get unlimited downloads with your membership. But there are times when you’re looking for a song or a template, and you find something that you really like, but you just can’t use it for your current project. How do you keep track of it so you can come back to it later? Enter collections!

Motion Array Collections Tutorial

Here’s how it works. Sign in to your Motion Array account and head on over to the marketplace. On every product in the bottom right corner, you’ll notice there are at least two buttons. You’ve got your ‘Download’ button, and then there’s the ‘Add to Collections’ button.

Add Product to Collections

Click it and a drop-down appears. From here you can add the asset to its own folder. You can add it to an existing collection, but if this is your first time trying it, you’ll need to create one first.

To do that, just type in the name of the new collection you want it to be a part of. Maybe you want to keep track of your favorites, or a specific genre of music that you like, or a grouping that you just know you will end up using at some point.

Select a Collection

So once you’ve put it into a collection, how do you go back and find it? Easy, go to your account, then click ‘My Collections’.

From here, you’ll see each of the different categories that you’ve set up for collections, including the one you likely just made! Click on it to see everything that you’ve added to that collection. And when it’s time to download an asset you want, it’s just a click away!

Browse My Collections

But here’s one last thing that you can do with collections. If you need to get approval from clients or boss’ about elements you download, you can send them a collection so they can review all of the options that you’re looking through.

Share Collections

Just hit the ‘Share’ button on the asset, or at the top left section of your collections home screen. Then, type in the email address of the person you want to send it to. When they get it, they’ll be able to go through every asset in that collection you sent.
