Meet Orit Bar Niv, Head of Motion Array

The new year is always an opportunity to reflect and look to the future, which is why we caught up with Head of Motion Array, Orit Bar Niv, to hear her insights from 2024 and forecasts for the year ahead.

Orit has a wide range of responsibilities at Motion Array, overseeing strategies for new projects and releases to realize the company vision.

“My role is to manage all content on the site,” Orit says. “That includes managing the catalogs, content, and working closely with the product team on strategy, and all features related to content filters, adding new catalogs, new content, user experience, and making sure users can find the content easily.”

Today, Orit shares what the team has up its sleeve for 2025 and reflects on Motion Array’s most ambitious projects in 2024.

Motion Array’s big wins in 2024

“2024 was a big year for the quality of the content in the catalog,” Orit says. “It was good before, but we really raised the bar there. We worked with top creators to create new content and assets, and connected to what users need.”

“We partnered with the biggest names in the industry,” Orit says. “We created assets for our users with artists who have created commercials for Apple and other big brands. So the top artists in the world are accessible in our catalog.”

Listening to your feedback is a big part of Motion Array’s strategy, and with AI a hot topic among subscribers, it was a significant focus for 2024. That’s why Motion Array’s biggest project last year was the launch of creative AI Voiceovers, providing top-quality creative voiceover options to help you leverage the latest technology to integrate compelling storytelling in your videos.

Motion Array has more than 2 million creative assets, ranging from video templates to stock footage to music and sound effects. But with the launch of AI-generated voiceover, filmmakers were able to narrate their videos in a tone and style of their choosing, on their terms and their timelines.

Streamlining generative AI for Motion Array’s community

In an industry that’s often overwhelmed with new information, updates, and offers, Motion Array works hard to keep its AI offerings as straightforward as possible. “There are a lot of other AI solutions on the market,” Orit says. “So we developed our product based on what our users need. We know the type of content our users create, so we cater to that.”

It took about three months to complete the AI voiceover project, including researching user needs, contacting the voiceover artists, organizing the catalog, and implementing the updates.

Orit says the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive since the launch of Motion Array’s AI-generated voiceover assets. Alongside it, the team rebranded Motion Array to reflect the quality and progression of the product. “If we’re raising the bar with quality, and bringing unique assets, then the style and vibe needs to be reflected in the product, brand, and design itself,” Orit says.

The new design puts the catalog’s content front and center of the user experience. “We elevated the content, and then we changed the design to show it most conveniently,” explains Orit.

Ramping up the catalog in 2025

In 2025, Motion Array will develop tools that aid brainstorming and storyboarding. “We’re currently helping create the end product,” Orit says. “But we want to help in the other stages of creation, so this is very exciting for us.”

Based on your feedback, a new drag-and-drop category will be added to Motion Array in 2025 to help you easily find the assets you need.

“Some people want really simple features to create content without prior technical knowledge, so this category is based on simple, high-quality assets,” Orit says. “We’re going to work with some big names to create video elements to make your videos look amazing in seconds, which will all be ready for you to download right in the catalog.”

On top of that, Motion Array has recently added a new LUTs category to make it easier than ever to color grade your footage and get professional results. Orit says, “We had some LUTs in the catalog, but we’re creating a new category so they’ll be easier to find, and are adding lots of new LUT packs created by top colorists.”

One key aim is to ensure you have access to the latest content, AI trends, tools, and products without being overwhelmed. “That’s what we’re doing with the curation of our assets,” Orit says. “We’re doing the research for you, so you know if you’ve subscribed to Motion Array then we’ve found the best tools to give you what they need.”

And every update and feature caters to Motion Array’s Business customers. “We’re always thinking about our Business clients, and catering our products towards their needs and requests.”

Keeping artists and creators front-center

The power of Motion Array lies in the creatives who contribute to the catalog. AI-generated content can be a sensitive topic, with artists worldwide concerned their jobs might be replaced. However, at Motion Array, the emphasis is and always will be on the creators.

“We don’t want to replace artists, so we’re continuing to champion them,” Orit says. “It’s very important for us to keep the original creation and to modify it with AI rather than replace it. We’re still putting artists at the center, and we’ll never lose sight of that.”

Motion Array has a ton of collaborations lined with some amazing creators to create commercials that the community can download and use to promote their businesses.

“We created a commercial with the best studio, PES, and then we created a template containing the key assets for the catalog. So the users get this commercial created within a huge studio, and they can just take that file and use it for their own business,” Orit says.

Part of Motion Array’s long-term vision is to give filmmakers all the tools they need to create stunning video in one place. That’s why Motion Array has teamed up with known creators in the community to create a beautiful new fonts catalog that will be launched in 2025 on top of all the other creative assets available already. “This is the vision of Motion Array,” Orit says. “We want to give the user everything so they won’t need any other subscription.”

More generative AI in 2025

Following 2024’s hugely successful voiceover launch, Motion Array will continue to make progress in the generative AI space in 2025. The team understands that AI has changed the process of filmmaking for good, so it’s crucial to provide the right tools for the community while ensuring they aren’t overwhelmed with information and choice.

“We aren’t adding AI tools for the sake of it,” Orit says. “We’re researching the top-quality tools that will expand our user’s creative capabilities. We’re looking at technologies to help with getting to a great final product and also to help with the ideation process.”

Motion Array’s 2025 generative AI releases will focus on the ideation aspect of creation, with the aim of developing tools that aid brainstorming and storyboarding. “It’s super hard to create videos, even if you’re very experienced,” Orit says. “We put a lot of effort into providing assets to inspire users and make sure they’re familiar with the latest trends. And we’re also looking to help with the creative process, using the latest AI tools to break new boundaries.”

Motion Array’s decision-making comes from listening to your feedback and predicting what you need based on how you’re currently using the catalog. “Sometimes product development is about knowing what our members need before they even realize it,” Orit says. “They need us to be visionary and stay one step ahead.”

The long-term future of Motion Array

Motion Array’s long-term vision is to be the one-stop shop for video creators. “We want to cater to everything. We aren’t just adding for the sake of it, and we are always choosing quality over quantity,” Orit explains. “So, in summary, we can look forward to a great year ahead as we add the best AI features, curate even more incredible creative assets, and organize everything in the best possible way to help people find what they’re looking for.”

The team is working tirelessly to improve the user experience across every touchpoint to make it as simple and hassle-free as possible. “It needs to be convenient to work with as well as high quality,” Orit says.

And, as always, every asset and update will cater to the latest in content innovation, making sure you can stay one step ahead while maintaining the highest-quality video.

“That’s the magic of Motion Array,” Orit says. “We’re a professional secret. You can create amazing videos very fast in very high quality, and that’s why people say that having a subscription means there’s no such thing as a stressful deadline.”
