Time for another creator spotlight. Today we’re talking to the
Animark, a prolific producer who does a little bit of everything. Across Motion Array you can find After Effects templates, stock video, and now stock music too. We talked to this multi-talented creator to find out a little more about what drives him and where he finds inspiration.

You create a variety of stock creative including After Effects templates, stock video, and music. Which medium did you start with first? Were you an animator, filmmaker, or musician?

My main job is animation and compositing. I like making time-lapse clips. And I’m only a beginner musician.

Tell us a little about your background in each.

8 years ago I started to study 3ds Max and during that time moved from being an interior rendering artist to a compositor/3d generalist. At the beginning of 2015, I tried to create templates and realized that it was much more interesting than freelance.

Back in 2012, I bought a camera and tried to shoot time-lapse. Here’s my first time-lapse clip, shot in my hometown.

Music is a hobby and I’m only at the beginning of a long journey.

Which is your favorite to create (AE templates, videо, or music)?

My favorites are After Effects templates and video. Sometimes I create music for my projects.

Tell us a little about where you are from.

I live in Krasnodar, Russia. It’s the capital of the Krasnodar region. It is close to the Black Sea, and the 2014 Winter Olympic games were held in our region.

Where do you look for and find inspiration for your work?

Basically I find inspiration on Behance and Vimeo. Also sometimes it’s helpful for me to go for a walk and look around. It refreshes the brain and gives me new ideas. And of course, it is music, mostly soundtracks from movies and games.

Do you have a favorite filmmaker or band that helps you stay inspired?

There are too many filmmakers to choose one, but in music, it is definitely Hans Zimmer. I think he’s genius.

How about a word of advice to other creators?

Always finish what you have started. Even if the result will not be the best one. It will be a great experience and next time you will do better.
